There are two things the Philadelphia Eagles and their general manager, Howie Roseman, love to do in the NFL Draft: selecting defensive or offensive linemen and drafting former Georgia Bulldog players.
Roseman might have his eyes set on yet another one that is in the 2026 NFL Draft. Georgia defensive back Daylen Everette told reporters at the NFL Combine that he met with the Eagles and would love to reunite with his former teammates, including Kelee Ringo, Nolan Smith, and Jalen Carter.
Everette has spent the last four years with the Bulldogs, starting over the last two. Last season, he had 50 tackles, 10 pass deflections, one interception, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 13 games. He was named as a first-team All-SEC selection in 2025.
Eagles might have another former Georgia Bulldog on the team
The Eagles had six former Georgia players on the roster and have made a living off their team over the years. Roseman has selected six Bulldogs in the NFL Draft since 2022, with 2024 being the only year since that time that the Eagles did not pick a Bulldog.
There is a lot of respect for Georgia among the Eagles, as they have focused only on the defense. They have created some great players that joined the Eagles, like Carter and Davis, who have become stars in the NFL.
Everette becomes an intriguing prospect for the Eagles, depending on how they attack the offseason. He could be the CB2 they need on the outside, as his 6-foot-1 frame gives the Eagles the size they have needed on that side, as they once hoped that Ringo was going to be that guy.

There are other needs for the Eagles, but this is the second straight offseason where they have looked to add a long-term solution at CB2, so Everette could finally be that solution for them.
